Back to school for Ankita Lokhande

Television actress AnkitaLokhande is all set to make her Bollywood debut soon with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She is leaving no stone unturned to promote the film and was recently seen at her hometown, Indore, for the same. A source informs, “It is a lesser known fact that Ankita was a state level badminton player during her school days. Since she was in her home town, she took some time out and visited the school. She not only spent quality time with the teachers but also played the sport with the students.”

When contacted, Ankita said, “It was an amazing experience to meet my coach and spend time with the kids. Badminton is my favourite sport and I am glad that I got a chance to live those memories again.”Ankita will be seen playing the role of Jhalkari Bai, the right hand to the queen of Jhansi in Manikarnika that releases on January 25.
