Which character has been the closest to your heart and why? 

Dhronacharya from Mahabharat was my most-loved character and after that Vinayaditya is close to my heart. I am confident that viewers will definitely love this character and I am eagerly looking forward to knowing their reaction.

What is your role in the show?

I essay a priest, Vinayaditya’s. My sole responsibility is to protect the kingdom and its people. Apart from being a father-figure, Vinayaditya will be guardian and guide to Mrinal, and protect her from all dangers. 

How is this show different from other historical shows? 

Prithvi Vallabh is a completely different show in comparison to all historical shows on Indian television. It has all the ingredients that make it a must-watch – high production value, supreme war sequences, romance, soulful music and much more. 

Which is your favourite character in the show and why?

Mrinal is my favourite character. Sonarika and I have worked closely together in the past too, where she played the role of Parvati. In that show, I was her father and in this show I will be her guide. 

What are your other projects in the pipeline?

As of now, I am focusing all my energies on this show. 

How does it feel when you look back?

I always wanted to do what I am doing now. As a human, you are never satisfied; you always want to achieve more.
