How did you get your first break in Muskaan?

I was doing vocational drama workshops in 'Balrangapeeth' run by Gauri Kendre. She got a requirement for child artists for their upcoming daily soap from Rashmi Sharma Telefilms. So, she referred my name. After giving more than 10 to 12 audition rounds for the same, finally, I got selected.

What made you choose acting as a profession?

It was not planned but it just happened. Since the beginning, I was very much interested in dancing and acting. I was also learning drama and acting during summer vacations in the drama workshop and I started liking it.

Who is your inspiration from Bollywood?

I am a big fan of Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. I want to become a famous actress just like them.

How do you manage work and studies?

When I am shooting, and I miss school, my friends help me by sharing study notes. I also carry books to the shoot sometimes when exams are there. My parents also help me a lot with my studies. So, it can be managed easily.

Since Muskaan is your first show, how has been the experience of shooting?

I was very excited as I play the lead role. Our shoot started in Darjeeling where we shot in zero to minus two degrees for almost 25 days. Then, we went to Kolkata and finally Mumbai. It has been a great experience. All co-stars, director and people on the set were like one big family and they all pampered me so much.

How has been the response?

It feels so good to see myself on TV. In school, all started calling me 'Muskaan' and they used to take my autographs. When I go to malls and airports, people gather and take a selfie with me. I like the fame that I got with Muskaan.

What kind of role do you want to do in future?

I want to do different roles based on real-life stories. I would also like to do paranormal stories or play a physically or mentally challenged child. I have done a small role in 'Laal Ishq' on &tv which is based on paranormal events. I would love to do a mythological role also. I love acting and performing so the nature of the role won't be able to restrict me.
