Engineering aspirants don’t have to rely on JEE (Mains and Advanced) tests only for securing admission to engineering course. Most of the reputed colleges conduct their own entrance test s. As a result an aspirant has to fill at least five to six application forms and take as many tests to ensure that he gets admission in a suitable college. This multiplicity of entrance tests is financially draining for the parents and tiring for the students and most often affect a student’s performance and score. “This highlights the need for  a common test that gives them a score that is recognised by different colleges for admission”, said   P. Muralidhar  CEO,  ERA Foundation  at a media conference in Chandigarh last week. Informing engineering aspirants about COMEDK and Uni-Gauge tests Muralidhar added, “With 150 plus institutions and 25 universities accepting scores and more than 1,25,000 students taking the online ComedK-Uni Gauge tests in 2018, these are the second largest multi-university private engineering exams in India”.

These tests make the task of a student easy as well as economical as they just have to take one three-hour online test. While COMEDK is for admission to colleges in Karnataka, Uni-Gauge score is recognised by over 100 institutes and universities all over India. The test can be taken in 140 cities at over 400 test centres and students don’t have to travel to far off places to take entrance tests.

For the current year COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE E entrance exam will be held on May 13, 2018 as combined examination for the admission of Engineering BE/BTech courses. The exam will be conducted online at over 150 cities and 375 test centres across India.

Students have to apply separately to the member Universities with their COMED K and Uni-GAUGE Score card to be eligible to seek admission to the respective universities. All candidates who have passed or are currently pursuing 10 +2 /PUC / any equivalent exam as approved by AICTE are eligible to apply for the entrance exam. Applicants have to register at www.unigauge.comon or before April 19, 2018.
