AIMA, the apex body of management in India has tied up with Paytm for accepting Management Aptitude Test (MAT) applications from students for admission to MBA and PGDM courses. It will make registering for MAT easier and faster by allowing applicants to complete the entire process through Paytm app with multiple payment options.

The tie-up with Paytm extends MAT’s reach, especially in small towns. Paytm app facilitates entire MAT registration process from filling the form to its submission and payment. The app also notifies the applicants about MAT schedule and other useful information through in-app messages, push notifications and SMS.

Currently, more than 600 B-Schools in the country use MAT scores to admit students in management courses. MAT has been in use since 1988 and it has extensive national reach, including in small towns and it is held four times a year to give flexibility to students from states with different academic years. MAT scores are valid for one year. Many B-Schools and universities offer scholarships to students with high MAT scores.

ASM Group, one of most sort after B-schools in India, has forayed into executive education by setting up a new vertical with Prakash Bakshi, ex-Chairman of NABARD, spearheading it.

The ASM Executive Education Centre will operate out of its new office in Mumbai. Each of the 4 short term courses on offer initially (Finance, Business Strategy, Negotiation & Disruptive Strategy) will have interactive online lessons with weekly assignments complemented by 5 hours in-class sessions every Saturday conducted by ASM’s senior faculty.  Enrolment for these short-term courses spanning between 3-8 weeks is now open. On successful course completion, applicants will receive a certificate from ASM Group of Institutes, Harvard Business School online (HBS OL) & IIM Bangalore online (IIMBx). — TNS
