Amanpreet Singh, the son of a gun house owner, who is accused of shooting two women dead on Tuesday afternoon, surrendered before the Tanda police today. According to the police, the owner of the gun house, Sarabjit Singh, reportedly had an illicit relationship with one of the deceasedwoman, Dalveer Kaur.

His son Amanpreet had seen the duo frequently in the CCTV camera footage. Dalveer used to come to gun house every now and then. hence Amanpreet was having a grudge against Dalveer.

On Tuesday, when he was sitting at the gun house in the absence of his father, Dalveer and her sister-in-law Sarbjeet Kaur, an NRI, came there to meet Sarabjit Singh. They waited for him for sometime. This angered Amanpreet and he took out a revolver from the locker and shot Dalveer.

Then he started firing bullets at Sarabjit. Leaving her inside the gun house, he fled from the scene. Amanpreet Singh surrendered today with the revolver before the Tanda police.

The DSP, Tanda, Gurpreet Singh Gill, said the accused would be questioned and produced before the court tomorrow.
