Youth from across globe take part in goodwill & fraternity camp

JALANDHAR: Youth from various states and countries participated in the week-long ‘National Goodwill and Fraternity Camp’ held at Sultanpur Lodhi ahead of the 550th ‘Parkash Ustav’ to be celebrated next year.

Youth from various states and countries participated in the week-long ‘National Goodwill and Fraternity Camp’ held at Sultanpur Lodhi ahead of the 550th ‘Parkash Ustav’ to be celebrated next year. As many as 4,000 student volunteers were present during the camp.

Organised by the National Youth Project, Delhi, the volunteers during the camp today held an awareness march, which was flagged-off by Navtej Singh Cheema, MLA, Sultanpur Lodhi.

The rally commenced from Guru Nanak Stadium and after traversing thought Gurdwara Beri Sahab, culminated at the ‘Nirmal Kutia’ at Sultanpur Lodhi.

Environmentalist Balbir Singh Seechewal, welcomed the volunteers. He said the youth had to play a major role in the conservation of natural resources.

He asked youths to seek inspiration from the life of Guru Nanak Dev.

Principal Dr Jasvir Singh, principal Ranjit Singh, SN Subbarao, Dr Gurdev Singh Sandhu, Hardev Singh, Ajay Pandey, Sanjay Rai, among others, were present.
