World Malaria Day was celebrated on the premises of Shiv Jyoti Public School. The purpose was to spread awareness against the fatal disease of malaria. A seminar was organised by Health Officer Dr Rinku Madan who made students aware about the causes and symptoms of malaria and made them acquainted with the preventive measures for the same. Principal Dr Ravi Suta shared the necessary information with regard to malaria and advised students to take special care of their health and follow proper steps in case of any symptoms. 

Farewell party

On the premises of Mehr Chand Polytechnic College,  students of the ECE department bid farewell to the final-year students with an event named Ehsaas -e- Rukhsat. Principal Jagroop Singh was the chief guest of the occasion.  College alumni Harry Salhan introcdued his new video song 'Akhiyan' while Devika presented a 'Kalaam of Baba Bulle Shah'. JS Ghera, Head of the department, presented the annual progress report. Nisha Thapa was selected as Miss Farewell and Amandeep was selected as Mr Farewell. The stage was conducted by faculty members Mandeep Singh and Preet Kanwal, and Kritika Chawla, Navita Komal, and Neha Thakral were also present.

Valediction ceremony

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised a farewell party for the outgoing students of the faculty of humanities. Yashica of MA (English) was adjudged Miss Charming; Vanshu Jain of BA became Miss Elegant while Rupali of BA (English) was adjudged Miss Confident. The title of Miss Beautiful Attire was won by Aaushi of MA (English) and that of Miss Best Smile went to Sakshi of BA. Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi wished students good luck for their future endeavours. She lauded the efforts of the organisers Dr Madhumeet, Dr Deepika Anand, Reena Tandon and Barun for the success of the event.

Traffic awareness

Innocent Hearts School, Loharan, organised a seminar on traffic awareness under the directions of IPS Praveen Kumar and DCP Rajjeet Singh. ASI Shamsher Singh and Head Constable Ramesh Kumar from the Traffic Cell acquainted students with important traffic rules. He says those who do not meet the eligibility criteria set to get a driving licence should not drive vehicles without licence. —TNS
