Will not allow encroachment on panchayat lands: Tript Bajwa

Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa today said the government would not allow anyone to encroachment on panchayat lands, ponds, old pools, shamlat lands and inns in the state.

While speaking to the media here, the minister said, “Several ‘misappropriations’ during the previous government are now coming to light. Several influential persons with the connivance of SAD-BJP leaders and government officials had encroached upon government lands.”

Replying to a question, Bajwa said a high-level probe would be initiated to take action against the accused. He said no violator, including any panchayat member associated with the Congress, would be spared.
