HOSHIARPUR: An awareness seminar was jointly organised by the Health Department, Mandi Board and the Horticulture Department under the Punjab Government’s Mission Tandarust Punjab in Chhawni Kalan village.

In this seminar, fruit vendors and store owners across the district were present. In Seminar, Dr BV Mahajan from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and Gurinder Singh Randhawa, GM Mandi Bard Punjab were the keynote speakers. Addressing the seminar, they said fruits and vegetables should be ripened only with the scientific method, as the fruits and vegetables ripened artificially and chemically are harmful for the health.
