Jalandhar, March 5

The Punjab State Suwidha Employees Union today planned to organise a big stir to raise their demands so that the new government that will be formed after March 11 can pay attention to it.

The union has planned to let the new government know about its alleged sufferings and exploitation to the new government. They said that they may launch a struggle again if required to get their demand of regularisation of their services fulfilled.

The union said its series-wise hunger strike at Chandigarh in association with the Punjab Government Contract Employees Union has been continuing since February 13.

The office-bearers of the union including Ravinder Singh and Jaswinder Kaur said they are going to organise meetings at the district level from March 6 to 10 to formulate an action plan to convince the new government on accepting their demands. They said they were struggling to get their services regularised during the tenure of the previous government but it did not happen. The union is hopeful that the next government will fulfill all its demands.
