Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KVM), Jalandhar, invited the team of Red Art Group (RAT) to showcase a street play on declining moral values in students. A team of the (RAT), with their theatrical skills and humour, conveyed the message of declining moral values in students. They sensitised students about the importance of teachers in their lives. Jatinder Bhangu, along with a team from Punjabi University, Patiala, staged the show. Principal Prof (Dr) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the department of ECA and Punjabi, for organising the show. TNS 

Students get job

Jalandhar: A campus placement drive was organised by Concentrix on Thursday at the DAV College, Jalandhar. Concentrix is a growing company which acquires 169th rank out of 500 companies of the country allotted by Fortune. Principal Dr SK Arora, dean Prof Manav Aggarwal and deputy dean Dr Nischay Behl motivated the students to participate in the placement drive. A total of 100 students took part in the drive. There were four different rounds in the placement procedure. As many as 51 students were selected for the last round. The selected students were accorded pay packages, ranging from Rs 1,80,000 to Rs 2,80,000. The selected students said the DAV College has provided them with a platform to seek  the opportunities for the future. Prof Manav Aggarwal, dean, training and placement, congratulated the students. Placement drive 

Jalandhar: Officials of ICICI Bank visited Apeejay Institute of Managment Technical Campus for the placement of the MBA students. After the comprehensive presentation, a written test was conducted for students, followed by a case study analysis. Shortlisted students were called for an  interview. A total of 15 students were selected for the post of deputy manager. They were offered a pay package of 4.12 lakh. Dr Rajesh Bagga, director, AIMTC and training and placement officer (MBA), Dr Varun Nayyar, congratulated the students. TNS

Gulfam, Navpreet qualify NET 

Jalandhar: Students of MCom (Sem IV), Gulfam Virdi and Navpreet of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya have qualified UGC NET with JRF.  According to the UGC rules, they qualified to become assistant professors at higher educational institutions. Principal Dr Ajay Sareen congratulated the students and faculty of the college for achieving the distinction. Dr Kanwaldeep, HoD, the department of  commerce was present. TNS

National school games

Jalandhar: The School Games Federation of India organised its 64th National School Games in Chattisgarh. The students of Saffron Public School represented the Punjab team. In the (U-14) category, Asmita and Ishpreet Kaur took part in +45 kg and bagged the bronze medals. Ishpreet, Dishant Passsi, Tanmay Passi and Harshit Joshi participated in the (U-14) boys category. Principal of the school, Dr Sandeepa Sood congratulated the students and the coach. TNS
