Jalandhar, December 8

The alleged flawed arrangements made by the district administration are causing a lot of inconvenience to candidates and also political parties.

Initially, the administration could not get the voters’ list published on time and only handed it over to them on the third day of the nomination day. As voters list is mandatory to attach with the candidature, no one could file any nomination on the first two days.

Secondly, huge confusion was reported due to the non-availability of separate maps of each ward. Though the Municipal Corporation has claimed that it has got separate maps made for each ward, political parties refused to buy their claim and alleged that they had not got it till date. — TNS
