Jalandhar, June 26

Activists of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Naujawan Sabha (SBSNS) held a meeting here today.

Speaking on the occasion the state secretary, Mandeep Ratia, said former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi attacked the Indian constitution by declaring an emergency in the country on June 25, 1974. He said, “An unannounced emergency haunts the country yet again keeping which in mind youth of the country needs to be brought together on the issue.”

“In the coming times, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Naujawan Sabha shall put up a stiff fight against the anti-national forces,” he added.

He said, “A state-level conference of the sabha shall be held at Phillaur from September 16 to 18 on the issue. The efforts regarding the same have already started.”

“Politicians in the country are making false promises to students. They are not trying to make any efforts for their better future,” he said.

Youngsters were also falling prey to drugs and farmers were committing suicides due to the reigning lawlessness in the country, he added.

He said, “The sabha shall bring together youths in the coming times to speak out on major issues.”
