Rs 11,000 looted from ATM

Unidentified persons attempted to loot an ATM of the Central Bank of India situated in the Industrial Area here on Tuesday night. Though the ATM was slightly damaged, the accused failed to loot the money. However, they succeeded in breaking open the lock of a tray of the ATM and took away Rs 11,000, said the police. A case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC has been registered on the complaint of the branch manager Ishan Arora. — OC
