JALANDHAR: The city police raided restaurants and bars in the city on Saturday night.

Jalandhar, June 24

The city police raided restaurants and bars in the city on Saturday night. Various bars running in the Model Town, one of the posh areas of the city, were raided.

The police also filed a case against the owner of one of the restaurants who did not have a bar license and were serving beer to youngsters.

The SHO, Police Division 6, said a case under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC and 68-1-14 of Excise Act has been registered against the accused. — TNS
