Protest by toll plaza workers

The Toll Plaza Lachowal Workers Union held a meeting with the toll plaza manager here to discuss their demands. The workers raised demand for the EPF and ESI facilities for them.

They also sought bonus and cancellation of the withdrawal of their posts. They said the manager had earlier assured them to consider their demands, but nothing had been done in this regard. On this occasion, Ashwani, Gurbhej Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Roshan Lal, Surjit Singh, Jai Singh, Sukhraj Singh and Amritpal Singh marked their protest and said that the workers were feeling that they were being cheated. They warned that if the company refused to listen to their demands, they would intensify their struggle.
