Police round up accused in double murder case

JALANDHAR: The Nakodar police have rounded up the suspect who has killed the father and son on Monday night. The accused Lakhbir Singh was known to the victims Puran (45) and Sandeep (14).

The Nakodar police have rounded up the suspect who has killed the father and son on Monday night. The accused Lakhbir Singh was known to the victims Puran (45) and Sandeep (14).

The police said Puran was with Lakhbir on the night of the murder and both were having dinner together when suddenly they fought over some issue resulting in Lakhbir attacking Puran with sharp-edged weapons.

His son Sandeep also came to look for his farther when Singh also attacked Sandeep to death. DSP Nakodar Mukesh Kumar said the family members of Puran were also suspecting the involvement of Lakhbir’s son Lavi. “We are inquiring into the matter,” he said.

The victims belonged to the labour class. The police informed that the bodies of the victims were found in the home of Lakhbir Singh who is suspected to be the friend of Puran.

The police informed that the victim’s bodies were found in mutilated state as they were attacked with the sharp edged weapons.

No arrest yet in another double murder case

The Nakodar police have also not been able to arrest the accused who was involved in a double murder of sister-in -law and her paramour. The case was reported three days ago.

Although the police had lodged an FIR against the accused Bhinda under Section 302 of the IPC, he is still absconding.
