Physiotherapy camp

Apeejay College of Fine Arts organised a free one-day physiotherapy camp. September 8 is marked as World Physiotherapy Day and doctors from the Department of Physiotherapy treated patients for the ailments of arthritis, neck pain, back pain, sciatica and frozen shoulder. Beneficial tips were given by doctors to live a prosperous and healthy life. Principal Dr Sucharita said, “Physiotherapy is the right means to stay fit and healthy. The college has always made its contribution in all the spheres of life.” The efforts of the department of physiotherapy were highly appreciated.

DAVIET students shine

DAVIET boys win laurels by bagging gold medal in the PTU Inter-College Table Tennis Competition. The competition was organised at the PIMT, Dera Bassi, from September 6 to 7, in which 13 teams participated. After the knock-out stage, four teams DAVIET, Jalandhar, GNE, Ludhiana, PCET, Badhowal, and LCET, Katani Kalan, entered the league round. DAVIET, Jalandhar, won all their matches of the final round and won the gold medal. PCET, Badhowal, and GNE, Ludhiana, got silver and bronze, respectively. Vaibav Rampal of civil engineering and Rishabh Kalyan electrical engineering were selected for the inter-varsity team. Dr Manoj Kumar, principal, DAVIET, and Dr Jagroop Singh Sidhu, sports president, congratulated the students for their achievement.—TNS
