The Assistant Director, Education, Dimpi Dhir, who is also the nodal officer of SBS Nagar, has asked teachers, school heads and coordinators of the Parho Punjab team to pay more attention towards students of the board classes. They have been told to solve students’ problems in any subject as the board exams are drawing near.

Dhir, addressing a gathering at Government Senior Secondary School, SBS Nagar, told the teachers and headmaster to devote extra time and supervise the performance of every single student to achieve 100 per cent results. Dhir added that a timely and appropriate strategy could lead to the best results.

She asked the teachers to ensure that no student remains on leave for a long time. Besides, the teachers were told to create an environment in which students must approach them in case they face any difficulty in any subject or chapter.

She further asked the teachers to identify the working topics in all subjects on a priority basis. Dhir stressed on written practice for good preparation of board exams.

The teachers were advised to make a list of weak and brilliant students in the class and work according to their needs and capabilities. She said, “Focusing on the difficult part of the syllabus, practise of last years’ question papers and conducting a written exam on a daily basis in the classroom will ensure good results. All school heads must inform parents from time to time about their wards’ performance and areas which are required to be focused on.” —OC
