On a complaint lodged by Harjit Singh, a resident of Pandhwa village, the police have registered a case under Section 420,465,467 and 468 of the IPC against Nawanshahr resident Mahesh Paul Agnihotri of Saloh village on the charges of duping the complainant of Rs 30 Lakh on the pretext of purchasing him a house. No arrest has been made so far.
Power shut down

The power supply from 33KV feeder including Local Industrial Area, GT Road, Nihalgarh and Chachoki would not be available on February 18 from 10am to 3pm. In a press release issued here today, Executive Engineer Ashok Sabharwal said power supply would also be switched off in the local Kherra road, Railway road, urban estate, Pandhwa, Mauli, Thakraki, Jagatpur Jattan due to maintenance work.
