Passengers hit as trains cancelled on Pathankot Cantt-Jammu section

JALANDHAR: Owing to cancellation of several trains on the Pathankot Cantonment-Jammu Tawi railway section, passengers remained a harried lot on Tuesday.

Owing to cancellation of several trains on the Pathankot Cantonment-Jammu Tawi railway section, passengers remained a harried lot on Tuesday. More than 12 trains will remain cancelled till November 26 due to the construction of a limited-height subway in the railway section.   Several others trains will either be partially cancelled or diverted to different routes. 

The Ferozpur railway division spokesperson said, “Development work has been initiated and prior information was circulated that trains would be cancelled from November 19 to 26.” However, passengers at the city railway station said they were not informed about the cancellation of trains.

Gorakhpur-Jammu Tawi-Amarnath Express (12587), Jammu Tawi-Bhagalpur-Amarnath Express(15098), Indore-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Malwa Express (12919), Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Indore-Malwa Express (12920), Kamakhya-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express1 (15655), Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Kamakhya (15656), Bandra Terminals-Jammu Tawi Special (09021), Jammu Tawi-Bandra Terminals special (09022), Anand VIhar Terminal-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Special (04401), Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Anand Vihar Terminal special (04402), Pathankot-Udhampur DMU (74909) and Udhampur-Pathankot DMU (74910).

Partially cancelled or short-terminated trains

Andman Express (16031), Swaraj Express (12471), Begumpura Express (12237), Ahmedabad-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (19415), Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Ahmedabad Express (19416) and Jammu Tawi-Bathinda Express (19226).
