Ensure optimum use of smart classes: Education Department

The Education Department in a circular issued to the District Education Officers (DEOs) have asked to do optimum use of the smart classes. The circular reads, “It has been noted with appreciation that a large number of schools are having projectors and are using e-contents effectively. As there is the shortage of projectors and other such media in some schools, teachers have also pointed out that all of them are not able to get the facility of Smart Classroom/Projector in their school,”

The circular further reads: “At some places schools are even ensuring that the Project Room or Smart Classroom are not vacant or idle even for a minute which is a very good practice. We all need to follow this practice. It is therefore decided that the School Heads may kindly make the time table for the use of the available Projectors in their school. Such a weekly time table may kindly be circulated to all schoolteachers and the students also.”

In a path breaking initiative aimed at imparting quality and hi-end education to the students studying at the government schools, the district administration would spend Rs 17.90 lakh for constructing digital classrooms at 45 government schools of the district.

Recently, under the project which aimed at ensuring digital education and increase learning achievements of students, enhancement of student attendance, interactive teaching and learning and focused engagement of students in the classrooms, the DC had informed that digital classrooms would be set up in 45 government schools of the district.

He said under the project digital class rooms would be set up at government schools in Bara Pind, Bhatnura, Bhar Singh Pura, Bundala, Chak Kalan, Heran, Daroli Kalan, Daduwal, Jandiala, Karari, Kala Bakra, Kartarpur, Patara, Kapur Pind, Kotli Than Singh, Khambra, Lasara, Government Girls Senior Secondary School and Government Senior Secondary School Lohian Khaas, Lambra, Mustafapur, Mehatpur, Malsian, Nurmahal, Nihaluwal, Patar Kalan, Phillaur, Partabpura, Adampur, Poonian, Randhawa Masanda, Rurka Kalan, Sangowal, Shankar, Sammipur, Samrai, Tehing, Ucha, Mulewal Kehra, Baghela, Kular, Khanpur Dhadda, Mesampur and Uggi.
