Indonesian students at LPU for ‘Study India Programme’

PHAGWARA:Nineteen students and faculty members from Indonesia’s renowned STEIN and AKPINDO institutions arrived at Lovely Professional University (LPU) to study digital marketing.

Nineteen students and faculty members from Indonesia’s renowned STEIN and AKPINDO institutions arrived at Lovely Professional University (LPU) to study digital marketing. They visited India under LPU’s two-week “Study India Programme”. At LPU the visitors got practical and theoretical academic deliveries for digital marketing, including that on search engine optimisation, paid search marketing, affiliate marketing, e-mail marketing, social media marketing. They were provided with an array of marketing automation, cloud innovation, customer relationship management optimisation and other digital solutions.  

For intensive digital learning, Indonesians went to leading IT services provider ‘Grazitti Interactive’ in Chandigarh, which has presence in the US, Australia, Singapore and other countries. Students made agro-industrial visit to district city Kapurthala. Visitors  understood enhanced working culture at India’s largest Indian confectionary outlet- ‘Lovely Sweets’. During hotel management classes, they learnt Indian cooking and had lunch of their own cooked food.

For understanding India and the region in true terms, Indonesian students also learnt about Indian veg cooking, traditional sports, yoga exercises, languages, dances and more. For other exclusivity in Punjab region, they visited Rock Garden in Chandigarh, Jang-e-Azadi Museum in Kartarpur, Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar.

LPU additional director international affairs Aman Mittal said: “The only way to begin to understand India`s influence in the global economy and technologies is to visit the region, meet its corporate executives, experience its long history and rich culture first-hand.”  

Awards and certificates were presented to the visiting students. Dewa Gede Bagus won the photography contest. — OC
