Phagwara, May 13
An internal conflict within the SAD-BJP alliance came to the fore when an audio went viral regarding arguments between SAD councillor Sarabjit Kaur and Anita Parkash, wife of SAD-BJP candidate from Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha constituency on Sunday.
The audio that went viral showed Anita asking the councillor to arrange a meeting in her ward, but the SAD councillor while refusing to arrange the meeting could be listened that no development works had been done in her ward and the residents of different localities had protested against ignoring the ward.
SAD councillor told Anita that the residents have installed banners ‘No Road-No Vote’. Sarabjit Kaur alleged that despite repeated requests residents of Rampura, Bhagatpura and Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar localities, represented by her, were being neglected by the Municipal Corporation, Phagwara.
Anita Parkash arrogantly asked her that she will arrange a meeting herself.
Meanwhile in an U-turn Sarabjit Kaur today clarified on the social media that she just expressed her resentment before Anita Parkash and sent the audio to a senior SAD leader but never knew about getting viral of the audio conversion.
She said she was a committed party worker and would continue to work to ensure the victory of SAD-BJP alliance.
She alleged that opponents are trying to malign her image.
