Senior BJP leader and Phagwara MLA Som Parkash has urged Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and the Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Rana KP Singh to sensitise Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu about the use of decent parliamentary language as minister.

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday evening, Som Parkash asked Sidhu not to mislead the people while mentioning that he had succeeded in bringing Rs 232 crore for Phagwara during the SAD-BJP rule whereas Sidhu during his visit to Phagwara on June 15 had alleged that Som Parkash could bring only Rs 2.5 crore.

The BJP MLA asked Sidhu how he came to inaugurate the projects completed by the Municipal Corporation Phagwara without consent of the Mayor? He alleged that Sidhu was violating the rules.

Continuing his tirade, Som Parkash said Sidhu had announced Rs 25 crore for Phagwara while Rs 34 crore of the Phagwara MC was already due with the state government.

Mayor Arun Khosla and SAD in-charge, Phagwara, Sarwan Singh Kular, were also present on the occasion.
