National U-13 Chess C’ship enters third day

JALANDHAR: The 31st National U-13 Chess Tournament that is being held in Cambridge International School for Girls entered its third day today.

The 31st National U-13 Chess Tournament that is being held in Cambridge International School for Girls entered its third day today. The championship which is being organised by Jalandhar Chess Association under the aegis of the All-India Chess Federation will culminate on June 29. Cash prizes worth Rs 2, 25,000 will be given away to participants winning top positions in each category.

On the third day, girls who attained the positions are Anahita Verma, Tiya Setia, Anushka Aggarwal, Yashika Bansal, Tushita Chopra while in the boys’ category, the top position holders are Bhavesh Mahajan, Jayan Pasricha, Rishi Sanotra, Tanmay Jain and Vidit Jain. —TNS
