MC removes illegal girders

Hoshiarpur, June 14

The MC, under police protection, removed iron girders illegally installed in some streets here on Thursday. The girders had been causing obstruction in the movement of vehicles.

A few days ago, the Joint Commissioner of the MC had written a letter to the District Magistrate, asking for police assistance for the same as the MC team had to return empty-handed more than twice due to opposition to the girder removal work by some residents. After this, the DC had ordered police protection to the MC team. — OC
