Man held with 5 kg charas

JALANDHAR: The city police today arrested a man with 5 kg of charas from Lamma Pind Chowk. The police told the media that Madan Singh, a resident of Lamma Pind Chowk, accepted that he used to bring cheap charas from Muzzafar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh and used to sell it here at higher rates.

The city police today arrested a man with 5 kg of charas from Lamma Pind Chowk.

The police told the media that Madan Singh, a resident of Lamma Pind Chowk, accepted that he used to bring cheap charas from Muzzafar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh and used to sell it here at higher rates.

The accused told the police that he used to sell a majority of the charas to labourers working in the industrial area. Madan also had another case lodged against him under the NDPS Act at the Maqsudan police station. He was earlier arrested, but later again got involved in the trade after getting out from jail. — TNS
