Man found murdered

Phagwara: Surjit Singh, a resident of Zandiala Manzki village, was found murdered with sharp-edged weapons on Zandiala-Bhardwajian road on Friday. The body of the victim was found abandoned near a canal in a pool of blood, the police said. The Zandiala police have registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC and handed over the body to his family after autopsy. The police are investigating the matter. Personal enmity was said to be the cause behind the murder. — OC
