LPU prof sets Guinness record for delivering ‘largest lesson’

PHAGWARA: Associate dean at Lovely Professional University (LPU) Sorabh Lakhanpal has created a Guinness World Record. He has delivered world’s “largest lesson” on ‘Drug awareness’ to 2,219 students of the university, The non-stop 45-minute session was held at the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university.

Associate dean at Lovely Professional University (LPU) Sorabh Lakhanpal has created a Guinness World Record. He has delivered world’s “largest lesson” on ‘Drug awareness’ to 2,219 students of the university, The non-stop 45-minute session was held at the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university. Dr Lakhanpal made students take a pledge to generate awareness in society and work for nation-building.

Prior to this, an NGO of Kerala was holding this record in the name of one of its speakers, who has now lost out to Dr Lakhanpal by a difference of over 200 listeners.Thanking the LPU management for facilitating the whole endeavour in making the record, head and associate dean at the LPU division of student welfare, Dr Lakhanpal said: “I dedicate my achievement of Guinness World Records for delivering drug awareness lesson to all those persons who ever suffered any sort of pain due to indulgence of their dear ones in drugs.” — OC
