KMV College shines in sports events

JALANDHAR: The squash racket and ball badminton teams of KMV College, Jalandhar, won the GNDU Inter-College Squash Racket Championship and the Ball Badminton Championship for the second and sixth time in succession, respectively.

The squash racket and ball badminton teams of KMV College, Jalandhar, won the GNDU Inter-College Squash Racket Championship and the Ball Badminton Championship for the second and sixth time in succession, respectively.

The GNDU inter college squash championship was held at the Service Club, Ram Bagh, Amritsar, two days back in which the GNDU-affiliated colleges took part. The KMV girls defeated BBK DAV College, Amritsar, 2-0 and HMV College Jalandhar 5-0. Giving tough competition to the rivals, Simranjit, Richa won comprehensively with the score line 2-0, victory over BBK DAV College in the final match. Other members of the team include Kawalpreet, Manjit, Tarinnderjit and Arshpreet.

In ball badminton, the college girls brought laurels for the sixth consecutive year as they defeated girls of BBK DAV College in the final round. The members of the team included Damanpreet, Kawalpreet, Gurpreet, Sumanpreet, Jaspreet, Jaganpreet, Nitian and Manjit.
