Union Minister of State Vijay Sampla while commenting on claims of Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu about the Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan said no such suggestion was received by the Union Government till now and these claims are still limited up to Sidhu only.

Talking to mediapersons at the residence of BJP leader Pankaj Chawla here on late Saturday evening, Sampla said if there was any such suggestion or consent of the Pakistan government, then both Sidhu and Pakistan should present this before the Centre.

Commenting upon the Congress-led Punjab Government, he said democracy was being murdered during the Congress rule.

He alleged that the Congress government was working in a frustrated manner that’s why it was denying permission to the SAD-BJP for organising a protest rally.

Sampla said the Congress wanted to create an emergency-like situation in the state.

The minister alleged that the ruling party was adopting excessive attitude during the zila parishad and block samiti polls. At some places, candidates of the SAD-BJP were not being allowed to file nominations on the pretext of one or other objections being raised by polling officers.

BJP leaders Tejaswi Bhardwaj, Om Parkash Bittu and Gurdeep Deepa were among those others present.
