Jakhar refused to accept resignation of Cong men

PHAGWARA: Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Sunil Jakhar refused to accept the resignation of any Congress activist who announced to resign from the party during a dharna organised by General Samaj Manch on April 25 in protest against the arrest of four Hindu leaders and demanded the arrest of Dalit leaders Jarnail Nangal and Harbhghan Suman allegedly responsible for April 13 midnight communal clash in Phagwara.

Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Sunil Jakhar refused to accept the resignation of any Congress activist who announced to resign from the party during a dharna organised by General Samaj Manch on April 25 in protest against the arrest of four Hindu leaders and demanded the arrest of Dalit leaders Jarnail Nangal and Harbhghan Suman allegedly responsible for April 13 midnight communal clash in Phagwara.

Jakhar advised the Congress activists including former minister Joginder Singh Maan, councillor Sanjeev Bugga, Munish Parbhakar and Naresh Bhardwaj who met him on Friday in Chandigarh to work for the strengthening of the party.
