Infant found dead in bushes

PHAGWARA: A one-and-half-year-old child was found dead in the roadside bushes near Palahai village on the Phagwara-Chandigarh bypass here on Sunday.

A one-and-half-year-old child was found dead in the roadside bushes near Palahai village on the Phagwara-Chandigarh bypass here on Sunday.

A passer-by stopped there to ease himself and noticed the body of the child. He informed the police.

Sub-Inspector Balwinder Rai rushed to the spot and sent the body to the local Civil Hospital for the post-mortem examination. A case has been registered.— OC
