IMA hails full pay to PCMS docs

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Punjab has expressed its gratitude towards Cabinet Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, Brahm Mohindra, for his sustained personal efforts in getting the proposal of giving full pay to Punjab Civil Medical Officer (PCMS) doctors during probation period passed by the Punjab Cabinet.

This was one of the major electoral promises made by CM Punjab Capt Amarinder Singh to PCMS doctors. This positive and immensely important step has been highly appreciated by PCMS doctors and IMA Punjab, said state president Dr Jatinder Kumar Kansal and state secretary Dr Navjot Dahiya.

The move will help in curbing the shortage of the PCMS doctors in the state, they said adding that the newly-recruited PCMS doctors on full pay shall work with better zeal and energy and shall strengthen the management of health infrastructure and manpower of the state, thereby providing better healthcare services to the public.
