Hunger strike continues over Ravidas Temple reconstruction

The chain hunger strike of the Ravidassia community, under the banner of the Bahujan Front, continued here at the Tehsil Complex for the fourth day on Thursday. Women too joined the stir.

Nirmal Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Banso, Asha Rani, Pasho, Satya Devii, Manjit Kaur, Mamta, Amandeep, Rani, Shindo, Kamaljit, Charan Lal, Lashman, Surinder Pal, Harjinder Kumar, Hakumat Rai, Sajjan Ram, Mehar Chand and Sat Pal sat on strike.

The protesters are  demanding reconstruction of a Ravidas temple that was demolished in Delhi. — OC
