Gurbaaz tops NTSE in state

JALANDHAR: Gurbaaz Singh of MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar, has bagged the first position in Punjab in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE).

Gurbaaz Singh of MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, Jalandhar, has bagged the first position in Punjab in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE).

Out of the total 8,197 students who appeared in the exam from Punjab, 2,975 students appeared from Jalandhar. In total, 101 students cleared the exam from the state, of which 16 students were from the city. Five among them are students of MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar.

While Gurbaaz Singh Nandra got the first rank in Punjab, Sahil Gandhi got the 27th rank in the state, Pulkit Mahajan got the 47th rank, Samiksha bagged 10th rank in category and Siddharh bagged 14th rank in category.

Students were appreciated by elders and were given bouquets by secretary Jarnail Singh Pasricha, manager Ramneek Singh Kalra, director Satwant Gakhal, principal Brinder Badwal, vice-principal KS Randhawa, primary wing in-charge Sushma Prehar and rainbow wing in-charge Deepti Kaushal. Students thanked the management, teachers and parents for excellence.

Meanwhile, Bhavnoor Singh Marok of Eklavya School stood 16th at the state level in the NTSE. A student of Class X, Bhavnoor has cracked most of the exams. Chairman JK Gupta, director Seema Handa, manager Sapna Bakshi and principal Dimpal Sharma congratulated and appreciated his efforts.
