Jalandhar, April 26

Students from Classes VI to XII of government high and senior secondary schools will get lessons in welfare schemes and scholarships being run in the state through EDUSAT.

Notably, while EDUSAT classes are run only in high and senior secondary schools, these classes will be held across EDUSAT labs at high schools and senior secondary schools, of which there are 262 in the district. Of these 262, about 250 are currently functional in the district.

This session will be held for students from Class VI to XII on April 28 from 8.20 am to 8.55 am. It will be attended by scholarship in charge (pre and post-scholarship), computer teachers and standard monitors and volunteer students of these classes, who can apprise other students of these schemes.

DEOs of all districts have been asked to instruct their staff that target groups of students be apprised of scholarship and welfare schemes as per the aforementioned schedule so that they might know about these schemes and get benefited from these.

School in charges have especially been told to attend the programme to enhance their knowledge.

DEO Harinder Pal said, “Students will get apprised on welfare schemes being run for them and the schools concerned had made all arrangements to relay the lessons.”
