Marriage ceremonies commenced at the residence of Ginni Chatrath, who is set to get wedded to comedian Kapil Sharma here on December 12.
Ginni hails Hailing from a Sikh family living in the Hardev Nagar locality here. A three-day akhand Paath of Guru Granth Sahib, began at her place, the bhog of which is scheduled for Sunday.
The ceremonies started all along the road leading to her house getting blocked and covered with pink, orange and pastel coloured tents, chandeliers, lighting systems and multiple floral arcades.
Family sources said they had hired a local event management company for décor, Harbhajan Caterers for food and Mohali-based photographer Deepika Sharma for photography. Vallet parking arrangements for the guests in her congested residential colony had already started. Renowned beautician Ritu Kolentine has been engaged for make-up and hairdo of the bride.
Even though the functions have started, the family members were still seen distributing invitation cards and sweets to their relatives. The cards have an attached red colour admit card which all guests have been asked to bring along for their entry into the main venue at Club Cabbana.
Bouncers are already on duty outside the house to ensure that no uninvited guest makes an entry into the ongoing functions.
Meanwhile, there are reports that ceremonies will start at the house of the groom on December 10 with Jalandhar-based singer Master Saleem performing at a ‘Mata ka Jagran’.
On the wedding day, Punjabi singer Gurdas Mann is expected to enthrall the guests while Daler Mehndi will be the star performer during reception at Mumbai.
