Flesh trade racket busted, 20 arrested

HOSHIARPUR: Busting a flesh trade racket being run in a hotel on the Hoshiarpur-Dharamshala national higway, the Sadar police have arrested 10 men and 10 women, while the owner and manager of the hotel fled from the place.

Busting a flesh trade racket being run in a hotel on the Hoshiarpur-Dharamshala national higway, the Sadar police have arrested 10 men and 10 women, while the owner and manager of the hotel fled from the place. The police have registered a case against the hotel manager and 20 persons, arresting them all except the manager.

SHO Narinder Kumar said it was reported that a flesh trade racket was being operated at York Hotel Chohal and its owner- cum-manager Vicky was renting out rooms for flesh trade at double rates. On the basis of this information, a police party raided the hotel.

Seeing the police, manager Vicky fled from the place, while in hotel’s all 10 rooms 10 couples were found in objectionable scenes. They were all arrested.

Those arrested were identified as Raj Kumar, a resident of Bassi Mustafa, Jasmine, a resident of Naru Nangal, Surjit Singh Lehal of Tanda, Parveen Kaur Bhulewalrathan, Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Kahri, Kirndeep Kaur, a resident of Tajowal, Gurpinder Singh, a resident of Chaggran, Preeti, a resident of Bhunga, Davinder Singh, a resident of Khaliana, Kapurthala, Indrapreet Kaur, a resident of Purhiran, Amarjit Singh, a resident of Fuglana, Harjot Kaur, a resident of Padhiana, Baldev Singh of Kuttevadd, district Sirsa of district Haryana, Neha aka Asha Rani of Chakk Gujran, Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Khudda, Sarabjit Kaur, a resident of Bagpur, Balkar Singh, a resident of Dhirowal, Renu, a resident of Mahilanwali, Raghav Raj Thakur of Ward 5 Hariana and Ritika Thakur, a resident of Bassi Kale Khan. — OC
