JALANDHAR: Underlining the need for imparting quality skill education to youth, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varinder Kumar Sharma today said it was the need of the hour to make them self-employed.

Underlining the need for imparting quality skill education to youth, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Varinder Kumar Sharma today said it was the need of the hour to make them self-employed. Interacting with the youth during a valedictory function of the RUDSET organisation here today, the DC said due to enhanced competition, job opportunities in the government sector were restricted. He said in such a scenario, the role of technical education had been enhanced a lot.

Sharma said technical education was a catalyst for transforming the lives of youth.
