PHAGWARA: Two unidentified armed miscreants snatched Rs 10,000 in cash and a gold ring from Jagtar Singh, a resident of Pandhwa village by pointing a sharp weapon at him near his village on Saturday night.

Thieves take away valuables

Phagwara: The house of a trader, Neeraj Duggal, was reportedly burgled in Manav Nagar in Hadiabad here on Saturday night. The burglars entered the house after breaking its locks and took away some cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house.  OC

17 injured in mishap

Phagwara: Seventeen occupants of a four-wheeler, including six women and three children, sustained serious injuries when  a speeding truck hit their vehicle at a stretch between Goraya and Phillaur on Sunday. The Injured were admitted to hospitals. The victims, who belong to Ludhiana, were going to a religious place near Batala. The police have  impounded the truck. OC

50 donate blood at camp

Jalandhar: The Jalandhar unit of the Blood Donors Welfare Society, Dasuya, held its 41st blood donation camp at Family Fitness Gym on the Kapurthala road. Fifty persons donated blood. The camp was presided over by Sonia, in charge, Ohri Hospital. Sukhjit, Manish Thakur, Jatin Lalit, Ranjot, Sachin, Karmvir, Baljinder Saggoo and Joban were the other member of the team. TNS
