JALANDHAR: The PG department of mass communication of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised an interactive session on ‘Radio Programming’ on the occasion of the World Radio Day. Gurpreet Kaur Sarai, RJ from Red FM, Canada was the resource person on the occasion. Principal Dr Ajay Sareen and HoD, Rama Sharma, welcomed her. Gurpreet Kaur said this day accorded an opportunity to honour the role radio plays in bringing communities together and promoting a positive dialogue for change. She motivated students to opt for the field as presenter or script writer because it helped us to grow and earn fame worldwide. She also focussed upon writing skills and encouraged students to read as much literature as possible. Principal Dr Ajay Sareen said this day aimed to raise an awareness among the public and the media about the importance of the radio. TNS

Annual athletics meet 

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV) organised It’s annual athletics meet ‘Trailblazer-2019’. The chief guest  principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi declared the meet open. The players took an oath of true spirit of portsmanship without indulging in doping. Students and staff of the schoolparticipated in various events. TNS
