Body tied to bike recovered from treatment plant

KAPURTHALA:In a sensational case, the body of a youth tied to a bike was recovered from a sewage treatment plant (STP) in Sultanpur Lodhi on Friday.

In a sensational case, the body of a youth tied to a bike was recovered from a sewage treatment plant (STP) in Sultanpur Lodhi on Friday.

As the body was tied to the bike, the police suspect that it is a case of murder. 

The police have registered a case under Sections 302 and 201 of the IPC against unidentified persons. 

As per information, Jagjit Singh, an employee of the STP, saw a foot of the deceased floating on the water on Friday morning. He immediately informed MC president Vinod Gupta about the incident. 

Thereafter, the police were called in and the body was fished out.

Jarnail Singh, SHO of the Talwandi Chaudharian police station, said, “We have initiated a probe into the case and efforts are on to identify the victim and the accused. The victim was wearing a black shirt. He had injury marks on his head and other parts of the body. The owner of the bike, identified as Balwinder Singh of Dariawal village, will be questioned to get some clues.”
