Members of the Mahila Morcha of the BJP today submitted a complaint to the Deputy Commissioner against a person for allegedly defaming the party’s activists.

The activists alleged that false and heinous accusations had been levelled against them in a certain Whats App group, particularly against women workers of the party. The activists demanded action under the Cyber Crime Act, Information and Technology Act and other relevant sections of the IPC against the person concerned for the alleged defamatory comments on social media. The party has also submitted a complaint on the issue to the National Commission for Women.

Former vice-president of the BJP Mahila Morcha, Urmil Vaid, along with Rani Sareen, Kiran Thapar, Seema Sahni, Meenu Sharma, Gurjit Rai, Kiran Bhardwaj among others were present.
