Abhishek wins gold in global karate c’ship

JALANDHAR: Abhishek, a student of Class VII of Police DAV Public School, brought laurels to the city by representing India at the international level and bagging a gold medal in the 20th MILO Cup International Karate Championship held recently at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, in the Under-14 category.

Abhishek, a student of Class VII of Police DAV Public School, brought laurels to the city by representing India at the international level and bagging a gold medal in the 20th MILO Cup International Karate Championship held recently at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, in the Under-14 category.

Dr Rashmi Vij, principal of Police DAV Public School, lauded him and his coach Ajay Kumar for their achievement.

She said Abhishek was a disciplined boy and was passionate about his dreams.

He had been working hard to excel in karate and the school had been supporting him in the best possible way, she added.
