Member of Parliament (MP) Chaudhary Santokh Singh today declared that The Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill that seeks to ‘delete’ the mention of ‘president of the Indian National Congress’ as a trustee, was an arbitrary matter discussed in the Lok Sabha.

The Central government has tried to change the identity of the country’s Independence by passing the Bill. He stated that the ruling government was trying to control the bureaucracy by indulging in several constitutional affairs.

Chaudhary, accompanied by MLA Rajinder Beri, was here to inaugurate an Aadhar Updation Centre at BSNL main office to facilitate the people for any kind of updation in the Aadhaar Cards like date of birth, address, mobile number and e-mail address etc.

The MP said: “The Aadhar Number linkage is necessary for various financial and other services. Setting up of the Adhaar Updation Centre will enhance public facility for updation of the Adhaar Cards in rural and urban areas.”

“The facility for registration and updation of the Aadhaar Cards have already been provided at ‘Sewa Kendras’ in the district and with opening of the new centres, people will be able to get this facility with more ease and convenience,” added the MP.

BSNL office in charge Sunil Kumar informed that the new Aadhaar Centre would remain open from 8am to 7 pm and for the convenience of people it would be kept working on Sundays too.

“Besides updation, new particulars can also be added in the Adhaar Card. The service of printing of the Adhaar Card will also be available at the centre besides finding the current status of the Adhaar Cards,” added Sunil Kumar.
