250 officers attend Sainik School meet

KAPURTHALA: Air Marshal NJS Dhillon of Western Command today interacted with the cadets of Sainik School Kapurthala during the annual Old Boys’ Meet.

Air Marshal NJS Dhillon of Western Command today interacted with the cadets of Sainik School Kapurthala during the annual Old Boys’ Meet.

He laid wreath at the Saikap Smriti Sthal situated in the school. Old students enjoyed the splendid display of school band contingent.

Major General Balwinder Singh, who is the chairman of the local board of administration of the school and an alumnus too, lauded the achievements of the school.

More than 250 senior army officials, including Lt Gen Gurdip Singh (retd), former Air Marshal Anil Chopra and Maj Gen Balwinder Singh, were present.

It is pertinent to mention here that Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, former Director General of Military Operations, who led the surgical strike against Pakistan a few months ago and is presently the core commander of the Army is also an alumni of this school.
