Phagwara: On a complaint by their kin, the city police registered two cases of abduction here on Saturday.

Shubham, a resident of Thapar Colony Phagwara, in his complaint to the police said his younger sister had been abducted an unknown youth on the pretext of marrying. She is missing since December 5. The police have registered a case under Sections 363 and 366 of the IPC. In another case, the police have booked Thapar Colony resident Alok Kumar under Sections 363 and 366 of the IPC on the charge of abducting young daughter of Satinder Kumar, a resident of the same locality on the pretest of marrying her. The girl is missing since November 27. No arrest has been made till so far.OC
